This high-performance, German-engineered machine from Einhell employs a roller cutting-mechanism rather than the more common impact-type one, so it’s virtually noiseless. The Einhell 2540-CB is driven by a very high-powered 2500w electric motor, which provides all the performance of a petrol engine, with none of the hassle. Garden waste (branches, twigs, leaves, hedge-clippings, etc) are pulled automatically into the mechanism, with no kick-back. Shredded material is then deposited in a high-volume 60-litre removable collector, and can then be used either for composting, or as a protective mulch. A ‘reverse’ switch allows you to free blockages without taking the machine apart; and a large-diameter funnel makes it easy to fill the hopper. A sturdy steel frame provides stability and durability; and a pair of transport wheels works with a transport handle to ensure you’ll have no problems getting it to-and-from the work-site.

Powered by a very high-performance 2500w motor, this high-quality but affordable machine is capable of dealing with all manner of organic garden waste, from branches (up to 40mm in diameter), twigs and pine-cones, through to grass-clippings, hedge-trimmings and leaves. The resulting mulch can be used either for composting, or spread on flowerbeds as a protective mulch.
