Hayter's Harrier 56 BBC offers a very generous 56cm width-of-cut (the largest in the Harrier range) and is equipped a blade-brake clutch - a prized feature among serious gardeners. This handy system allows you to disengage the blade-drive with the engine still running, ideal when emptying the grassbag, or when moving over non-grass areas.

A great choice for those with large lawns to look after, the Hayter Harrier 56 BBC Autodrive VS Petrol Rear-Roller Lawn Mower is a highly robust machine, designed to give years of unfailing service in the hands of the domestic user. Its clean-running and economical Briggs & Stratton 825-series engine powers a variable-speed transmission. This allows you to adjust the ground-speed while on the move, making it easy to mow around shrubs, trees and garden ornaments.

Thanks this lawnmower's eight-stage cutting-height, different grass-types and weather conditions will not prove a problem. Adjustments can be made quickly and easily via a single counterbalanced lever, making it more likely you'll make changes to the blade-position when they're required.

With regard to longevity, the Harrier 56 is pretty hard to beat. Its aluminium deck is corrosion-resistant and has a robust ABS under-deck lining for added protection; while its cutter-blade friction-disc is so effective that Hayter offer a lifetime guarantee against crankshaft-bending. Hardwearing ball-bearing wheels also contribute to a lengthy service-life.

The Hayter Harrier 56 incorporates a heavy-duty steel rear-roller. This not only allows for the creation of a desirable striped finish, but also makes the mower more stable when mowing along the edges of flowerbeds or vegetable plots.

Other top of the range include a very-large capacity grassbag (70l), which allows for longer periods of work between breaks to empty the grassbag; and an Operator Presence Control (or 'deadman's handle'), which ensures that the engine is stopped when you are away from the controls.
